2006 CAM Conference Information & Registration
July 19-23, 2006
Dear CAM Members,
Please find enclosed the registration materials for this year’s General Conference of the Catholic Association of Musicians. We will again meet at the Little Portion Retreat and Training Center in Eureka Springs. Please note that this year the conference is open to all CAM members, regardless of membership type.
Our Tenth General Conference will take place on July 19-23, 2006; it will begin on Wednesday evening and end on Saturday after evening Liturgy. There will be a jam session one night, similar to the informal session we did last year at the retreat center. The room and board cost for the retreat center is $195. This includes 9 full meals, one snack, one continental breakfast, four nights of lodging. Accommodations at the retreat center are limited. Overflow will be placed at a local motel, close to the retreat center. Please include a deposit of $100.00 per person when you send in the enclosed registration form.
|
A minimum of 30 paid registrations must be received by March 30, 2006. If the conference is cancelled due to low attendance after that date, CAM will not be responsible for refunds of any airfare or other expenses except the registration deposit.
|
This year’s dues were due to be paid by March 15, 2006. Those of you who have not paid dues will NOT be eligible to attend this year’s conference until dues are paid. Please send your check for dues to Maureen Hayes 512 Columbia Street, Cohoes, NY, 12047. Or pay online!
For those of you flying to this event, we can provide airport transportation for those arriving on Wednesday, and leaving on Sunday, for a donation of $45.00 per person. This cost will cover your ride both to and from the airport. In order to take advantage of this transportation, plan to arrive at the new Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport near Fayetteville, Arkansas on Wednesday by 3:00 pm, and have a flight out on Sunday after 10:00AM. When booking flights please keep in mind that our retreat center is about a 2-hour drive from the Fayetteville airport. If you will need transportation at any other dates and times, and you will not be renting a car, you can use the Express Shuttle (1-866-535-0127). Please send the enclosed flight information form by June 30, 2006.
Please e-mail me at lynngeyer@yahoo.com with any questions you might have. We look forward to our next meeting with you, and pray that God will bless your ministry and keep you safe in His loving care.
Respectfully yours in Christ,
Lynn Geyer
